We will be participating in the Spring Sizzler activities on Sunday April 26th with their annual pit party at 11:00 a.m. The pit party allows fans to come down onto the track where all the race cars will be parked and allows the fans to meet the drivers and get an up and close look at the cars. It’s a good chance for us to promote our sponsors products. We can do this through discount coupons for services you may be able to provide, and or items to give away (T-shirts, pens, key chains, etc.) We will gladly give out what ever is provided to us to give the fans. We will provide a basket of candy for the fans to pick at as they look over the car with all your logos displayed and wait for an autographed hero card from Lauren to take with them with your company name proudly displayed on the back. It was a huge success last year, Lauren gave out over 200 hero cards and had lines of people waiting to see her and the race car.

STAFFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY HOSTING
BUSINESS EXPO DURING MAY RACE EVENTS
(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Motor Speedway is offering a unique opportunity for its competitors to showcase their sponsors on Friday nights during the month of May. During the month of May, Stafford Speedway will be hosting Business Expo events. These events will provide sponsors the opportunity to advertise their products in front of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series consumers. Sponsors of any weekly race team, as well as Stafford Motor Speedway sponsors and advertising partners, are invited free of charge to display their products or services on the midway during the month of May.
“Sponsors are a huge part of racing, both for the competitors and the Speedway,” said SMS COO/GM Mark Arute. “Many of our long standing team sponsors are struggling to continue their participation in local motorsports. We wanted to acknowledge their participation and try to help give them some additional value for their involvement by being able to showcase their products. We hope by providing this opportunity we will enable more teams to gain sponsorships or maintain their current sponsorships.”
The available Friday dates for the Business Expo events are May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 29th. In addition to the free exhibitor space, one business will be chosen at random each Friday for a ride in the pace car, be the honorary starter of a race, and present the trophy to the winner of the race in victory lane.
This is a great opportunity for race teams to gain additional exposure for their team sponsors and an opportunity for their team sponsor to network with other businesses. In today’s economy, many companies are looking for new ways to market their products and services and this event will give team sponsors the opportunity to expand their marketing efforts.
Event participants will be allowed up to 3 attendees at no charge to set up and work the display. All displays must be self-contained and onsite no later than 4:30 pm. Rain dates for Business Expo events will be the following Friday night, excluding May 22nd.
